a great circle duet
The earth is a sphere so elegantly impartial that when we walk away from each other on it, we also walk towards each other.

A mathematician and I found the great circle that connected our two cities. Using the specific compass bearings, he painted a red line up the walls and over the roof of a building in Seattle, while I extended that same line through the gallery in Copenhagen. We chose a time to perform a dance duet along our common great circle line and synced our clocks. In solitude, he danced a set of 90 choreographed moves over the course of 90 minutes. A list of these dance moves was posted at each end of the great circle line within the Copenhagen space, and viewers were invited to join him in the duet, either facing him from 7,780.07 km or 32,261.51 km away.
